A Short Love Affair

Il-do gets a job at a clothing factory. He and his family move to Umookbami, a small outskirt town. On his first day at work, he meets Gong-rye and falls for her being calm and shy, which is the opposite of his wife, Yeon-seo. He pities on her; she also has an unhappy marriage with a man with a violent tendency. Gong-rye also has a crush on Il-do, who takes care of her and her boy, even though she and he have families. Trying to escape their frustrating lives, they start having an affair. Soon, their spouses find out their secrets, but Il-do and Gong-rye keep meeting each other. When their secret rendezvous becomes the talk of the town, the two ran away to Seoul. But, Yeon-seo, who doesn't want a divorce, goes to Seoul to find her husband and his mistress.
