In the late 1800s, the Canadian government forced Native American children to attend residential schools. The schools aimed to assimilate them into Canadian culture and erase their own customs, resulting in mental, physical, and sexual abuse. The schools were finally shut down in 1996, but tensions between Native people, the government, and other ethnic groups persisted. This documentary highlights the work of Korean American missionaries who spread the gospel, supported indigenous peoples facing one of the worst racism in history, and worked towards reconciliation.
