Earth Is Mother

In Bali, Indonesia, there is one day in a year that everything stops. People don't light, don't work, don't commute, don't eat. This tradition for over 2,000 years is called Nyepi. On Nyepi, people in Bali pray for thanking everything that grows and protects all life forms. Earth Is Mother is the first documentary about Nyepi, discussing Balinese people's attitudes toward slowness and philosophy on humans and nature. It also contemplates modern society's excessive desire for development and fastness, introspecting the harmonious lives of humans and nature.
