12.12: The Day

[North America Only] The movie depicts the events that occurred on the night that changed the course of South Korea's history. Following the assassination of President Park Chung-hee on October 26, 1979, the citizens of Seoul had high aspirations for the democratization of their country. However, on December 12, Army Commander Jeon Doo-kwang and his allies staged a coup to seize power. The remaining army forces, led by Capital Defense Commander Lee Tae-shin, engaged in a confrontation with the rebels, putting the fate of the country and the lives of its citizens at stake.
